Thank you for visiting our web site for student services.  This site is dedicated to making sure that our students are offered a variety of supports both on campus and at home.

During this strange and unprecedented time of Covid - 19 and nationwide school closures, Encore is committed to providing the best services possible for all of our student populations.

As the new school year starts in a completely new way, Encore's student services department is dedicated to offering the appropriate support to our students.  Whether your student needs an on campus cohort for additional help or the supports that are offered will be offered online, Encore is here to help your student with their social, emotional, and academic success.

Encore operates special education with a full inclusion model.  This means that all of our students are in the same classes during the school day.  Encore's general education teachers provide instruction to the full classroom and then offer supports, modifications, and accommodations for students that have IEPs separately through either the SPED teacher or the SPED Aides.  You can see what modifications and accommodations were done for your individual student by accessing their gradebooks on Aeries and reading the margins where the general education teachers take note of the accommodations and modifications done in their individual classes.  In Encore's first 12 years of operation, the full inclusion model has been very helpful in triggering advancements in social and emotional connections and growth in Encore's special needs population.

In order to insure student success, Encore is committed to providing additional helps for our special populations during our time of off campus distance learning.  This includes:

  • Small group tutoring using Zoom

  • One on One tutoring using Zoom

  • Printed work delivered to your doorstep

  • On campus one on one training for technology

  • Limited on campus cohort help

  • Various services offered via online experience

Encore is starting the school year using 100% Distance Learning due to the limitations set forth by the State of California during this pandemic.  Encore's SPED department is creating a plan for all of our students with needs to make sure that the IEP and Encore can still offer the needed and necessary supports.

Limited on campus cohorts will start on October 5, 2020.  The SPED department will schedule these cohorts.

Encore's student services department is dedicated to serving the needs of our special populations.  In addition to tutoring help, Encore will also be offering the following help to all of our SPED students.

  • IEP MEETINGS - Our SPED teachers will be scheduling any IEPs that are needed during this time of closure using the technology Zoom.  To check on your IEP appointments during this time, please fill out the form above and a member of our SPED department will get in touch with you as soon possible.

  • TECHNOLOGY TRAINING - If your student requires in person training on how to use Zoom or Google Meets, please indicate in the form above.  A training will be set up with you and IT for an in person appointment for this training.  This training will require the student to be on campus and will take about 1 hour.  Parents are asked to stay with their student during this training so the whole family can learn together.

  • ADDITIONAL TUTORING - Additional tutoring will be available for students through the SPED department when they need it Tuesdays through Fridays.  To schedule group tutoring time and homework help, please request "homework help" on the form above.

  • CONTRACT SERVICES - Encore is working closely with SELPA to make sure that our students are receiving services when much of the state is closed.  If you have been designated contract services in your IEP, Encore's SPED department will work directly with you and SELPA to make sure that you still get the help that you need. Most of our contract services will be done online until further notice.

  • PRINTED WORK - In some cases (based on your IEP) Encore will mail printed versions of your schoolwork to your home.  These assignments will mailed to you weekly.  If you are interested in this type of service, please indicate this need in the form above.
